1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SMJobs ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

SMJobs is a South African online job platform that connects job seekers with employers. We provide a marketplace for job listings, candidate profiles, and related recruitment services.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account.

4. Job Seeker Responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate, truthful information in your profile and applications.
  • You may not misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or experience.
  • You agree not to use the Platform for any unlawful or prohibited purpose.

5. Employer Responsibilities

  • Employers must provide accurate information about their organisation and job listings.
  • Job listings must comply with all applicable South African labour laws.
  • Employer accounts are subject to review and approval by SMJobs.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following: (a) posting false, misleading, or fraudulent job listings; (b) collecting user data without consent; (c) transmitting malware or harmful code; (d) interfering with the Platform's operation; (e) violating any applicable laws or regulations.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including logos, design, text, and software, is the property of SMJobs or its licensors and is protected by South African and international copyright laws.

8. Limitation of Liability

SMJobs acts as an intermediary and does not guarantee the accuracy of job listings or the suitability of candidates. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SMJobs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in prohibited conduct, without prior notice.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Gauteng, South Africa.
