Northam Eland Platinum Mine has an exciting opportunity for an Electrician who will be responsible to provide maintenance support to the Concentrator Plant for the achievement of production performance levels.
The successful incumbent will attend to breakdowns and perform planned maintenance as per schedule. Guided by our purpose and values, we enable both high performance and purposeful action as we aim to promote ”Smart Platinum Mining”, delivering on metals (PGMs) including platinum, rhodium, iridium, ruthenium and osmium.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Ensure that all electrical maintenance, installation and construction work is performed in accordance to standards and specifications
- Ensure that all electrical maintenance, installations and constructions are inspected and checked for quality purposes
- Ensure safe, correct and effective utilization of equipment and machinery
- Liaise with process teams on maintenance activities that affects production
- Adherence to maintenance schedules
- Attending to engineering breakdowns
- Escalation of unresolved breakdowns or unsuccessful electrical maintenance, installation and constructions
- Adherence to document control standards and procedures
